  • For a points-based challenge ladder, results entry for a doubles match on a singles ladder.
  • New ways to allocate points: based on whether the winner was above or below the loser, how far apart the players were, and how close the score is.
  • GamePlan Online feature for challenge ladders.
  • "Host" assignments in the Match Scheduling program.
  • Additional fields for player data (e.g., additional phone numbers, e-mail addresses).
  • Delete multiple players at one time using the Shift or Control keys.
  • For the Tournament Draw and Match Scheduling programs, ability to update a player's position in the list.
  • For printed output in the Challenge Ladder and Tournament Draw programs, ability to specify type size.

April 2005:
GamePlan software version 2.1 includes the following enhancements to the Match Scheduling program (formerly called the GamePlan PARTY program). This completes the upgrading of the "look and feel" of the three programs, as well as introducing several new features. (The Ladder and Tournament programs were previously upgraded, as noted below.)
  • Explicit support for mixed doubles round robin schedules.
  • Explicit support for fixed-partner doubles round robins.
  • Support for league "home and away" schedules.
  • Simplified support for partial round robin schedules.
  • Simplified and streamlined automatic scheduling interface.
  • The output report may be generated in HTML format for posting on a website.
  • The output report can be sent to members via e-mail, directly from the GamePlan program.
  • Long file names (i.e., more than eight characters) are now allowed.
  • New simplified format for the Import Players file. The input file can be created in many spreadsheet programs. Example files are included with the software.
  • Improvements to "mixer" scheduling, such as minimizing long schedule gaps, and improving the mix of partnering versus opposing other players.

May 2004:
GamePlan TOURNAMENT 2.x version included the following enhancements:
  • Improved flexibility in the printed output, including settings for margin size and the number of players and rounds printed on each page.
  • More consistent support for doubles tournaments.
  • The tournament draw report may be generated in HTML format for posting on a website.
  • The tournament draw report can be sent to members via e-mail, directly from the TOURNAMENT program.
  • You can manually create or update a tournament draw (in addition to the current system for automatically creating the draw).
  • Long file names (i.e., more than eight characters) are now allowed.
  • New simplified format for the Import Players file. The input file can be created in many spreadsheet programs. Example files are included with the software.

October 2003:
GamePlan LADDER 2.x version included the following enhancements:
  • Doubles ladders.
  • The ladder report may be generated in HTML format for posting on a website.
  • The ladder report can be sent to members via e-mail, directly from the LADDER program.
  • The ladder may be operated on a "points system" rather than as a traditional challenge ladder.
  • Results from previous issues of the ladder may be viewed and printed.
  • Errors in result entry can be deleted before the results are posted to the ladder.
  • Ladder results can be posted to the ladder independently of generating a new issue, thereby updating the ladder immediately. All results since the previous issue are available to be printed when the next issue is generated.
  • Results can be reported as a tie.
  • Long file names (i.e., more than eight characters) are now allowed.
  • The Import Players improvement mentioned above
  • The Valid Challenge Range now allows any value from 0% to 100%, or it can be entered as a specific number of positions.

This list does not include changes that occurred in the version 1.x releases (1997-2002).
